What do you do/what is your business?: I am a branding and product photographer helping small businesses and entrepreneurs crush their marketing goals with creative and memorable imagery.
What or who inspires you the most?: The working woman. The woman who had a dream and a passion who, after raising a family or working for the man, decided to take the leap and take a chance on herself!
What template did you purchase?: Belladonna
Why did you choose that particular template?: I spent a couple of months scrolling through the different template demos and envisioning my content in them. I actually started a new SS7.1 site from scratch leaving my cluttered 7.0 site behind. Once I had an outline of my content and how I wanted my site to maneuver, I could see that Belladonna fit my vision the best!
Why did you want a new website?: I have had a website for my photography business for a couple of years and it functioned fine. It was even beautiful. But then I pivoted my business to focus on branding and the style I had before just wasn't right. It didn't create the experience that I wanted my branding clients to have. After a million months of tweaking and a bunch of CSS code I couldn't even make sense of anymore, I deleted everything and started over!
Why did you choose to purchase one of our templates, rather than a competitors?: It was a combination of value and design. I looked at at least 3 other SS designers template shops and I always came back to Big Cat Creative.
How did you feel before you created your new website?: I felt confident in my ability to create a website. I actually really like building websites and designing them and creating the code! I think it's a lot of fun. I spend a lot of time just combing through my site and finding things to add or change! But I needed the creative design from Big Cat Creative to get me started. Now I have a site that doesn't need constant adjustments! It's just perfect!
How do you feel now that you have launched your new site?: Inspired to take my business to the next level! I just enrolled in a Marketing Mastermind course and now I feel like directing clients to my website will make them feel confident in hiring me!
How do you think your business is going to benefit from your new website?: My website is kind of like my resume. I can do the marketing and sales but eventually they visit my website and decide from there how legitimate I am. I feel ready to pitch and direct them to my site and close the deal!
How did you find the whole Squarespace Template process from purchase to launch?: So unbelievably easy. I started my website journey on Wordpress which is totally daunting. Squarespace is a breath of fresh air and your tutorials and process is so easy I thought I forgot a step!
What's your fav series on Netflix right now?: Schitt's Creek!
